Cross-country running season at my daughter’s school started a few weeks ago. I enjoy going to the races to support her. obviously also the team. She placed a lot of importance on my arrival because it was the first race of the season.

Every week at various locations, the races start at 5 o’clock. It’s not the best time of day because of rush hour traffic, but we still have to pick up our children, don’t we? I mean, even though I’m nervously waiting in stop and go traffic in my car. even at the potential cost of arriving too late and missing the competition.

Fortunately, there wasn’t much traffic that day and there were no accidents, so I arrived in plenty of time to wish her luck and support her during the race. The fact that I was there for her, however, is what matters most.

There are numerous ways we can support our children. However, taking care of ourselves comes before anything else and is the best way for us to be there for our kids. We not only show how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle, but we also live longer, happier lives.

2. I recently read an article that claimed not getting enough sleep would shorten your life. A restful night’s sleep aids in maintaining concentration. You can work faster and think more clearly. Furthermore, it stops you from overeating. Similar to how food fuels your body, sleep does the same. To maintain your energy levels, you must eat more if you’re tired.

Engaging in regular physical activity can help protect you from conditions such as high blood pressure, non-insulin-dependent diabetes, obesity, back pain, osteoporosis, heart disease, and stroke. It can also enhance your mood and help you better manage stress. You’ll be able to sleep better too.

5. Spend quality time with the people you care about. It’s simple to become enmeshed in daily life. The world has changed significantly since I was a child. Bicycling and loitering in the schoolyard appear to be passe past times. The activities and car pools that fill our days today. Set aside a family-only evening at home. There are no friends or sleepovers. Prepare some popcorn and bring out an old board game. or arrange a night of family movies. The weather is ideal for lighting a fire and relaxing on the couch with your favorite fleece blanket.
