Managing Your Stress During COVID-19

Your success in life, both personally and professionally, depends on your capacity to manage stress. Your ability to control your stress will be essential to your survival during COVID-19 given the current state of the world.
According to psychologists, a life that is more balanced will lead to long-term success.
Living a balanced life is more important than ever right now. Many professionals have felt out of balance as a result of the various stressors that this unexpected pandemic has brought with it.
In an effort to help you regain your balance, here are a few recommended techniques you can use to manage your stress during this time of COVID-19:
BREATHE: make time throughout the day to do deep breathing exercises. Several times each day, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. You’ll benefit from an increase in blood oxygen levels thanks to this process. Your mood improves and your stress levels decrease when oxygenated blood is flowing to your brain.
EXERCISE: get regular exercise to boost your energy and overall sense of well-being. Regular exercise will help you feel better mentally and physically, whether you choose to exercise with a Pilates video in your living room, lift weights in your basement, join an aerobics class via Zoom, or go for a walk around your neighborhood. Regular exercise will also help you feel better about yourself, which is another great advantage. You feel good about yourself when you have a high sense of self-worth. When you feel good about yourself, you believe you can handle any situation. As COVID-19 progresses, make it a point to exercise frequently.
ENJOY SANCTUARY TIME: carve out time in your day and designate a special place in your home for sanctuary time. You will be spending this time by yourself. You can savor some alone time during sanctuary time. Spend your time in the sanctuary somewhere that makes you feel more peaceful. Your sanctuary time can be when you wash up in the morning, meditate in the middle of the day, unwind in the evening, or relax in the living room. Your sanctuary time can occur whenever and wherever you choose, as long as you have personal space to reflect, make plans, and find peace. Make a commitment to taking sanctuary time throughout your entire week.
VISIT WITH LOVED ONES: maintain your personal and professional relationships during this time. You can still communicate with your family, friends, and coworkers despite the prevalence of social distance. You will undoubtedly use technology to communicate with them more frequently now. The idea is to spend time laughing, connecting, and conversing in order to keep your spirits high. You can communicate with family members right now through phone calls, text messages, face-to-face meetings on Zoom, and virtual gatherings. Until the pandemic is over, make a promise to yourself to see a loved one once a week.
