Why the first step is always detox

In my plan and book, Today is Still the Day, detoxification comes first. To do a gentle detox, we use the first two weeks of the plan. Over the years, people have questioned why this is step one. We live in a very toxic environment, and toxicity seriously interferes with how well our bodies work.
According to recent studies, toxicity is now known to play a role in a wide range of other illnesses, including cancer, arthritis, gout, lupus, fibromyalgia, obesity, autoimmune diseases, and neuro-degenerative diseases.
We are surrounded by toxins, including glyphosate, which contaminates our food supply, fluoride in dental products and water supplies, artificial sweeteners and preservatives, drugs, cosmetics, and personal care products, flame retardants, and EMFs (electromagnetic fields) from electronics like cell phones and computers. It is important to remember that our physical health is also affected by toxic emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and relationships.
We will be affected by all or some of these to some extent because we live in this world. So there are lots of things we can do! We can make a conscious effort to eat only the best, organic, grass-fed, finished foods that we can find and afford. According to a University of California study, eating organic food for just six days significantly reduced the amount of toxins in the body by an average of 60.5%. I don’t know about you, but I find that amazing and it seems like such a small action to take for such a significant outcome.
Your toxic load can be quickly decreased by staying away from artificial preservatives, additives, sweeteners, and packaged, processed foods.
Of course, increasing your intake of fiber and purified water will aid in flushing toxins from your body. The body can detoxify and heal itself by consuming more omega-3 healthy fats like fish and krill oil, pasture butter, and coconut oil while reducing toxic fat intake from margarine and canola seed oils.
Your toxic load can be decreased by becoming more conscious of stressful, harmful, toxic emotions, thoughts, and relationships and learning to deal with them effectively using techniques like EFT.
You can gently detoxify yourself and kickstart any other changes you want to make by making some intentional changes to your diet and lifestyle. Don’t you merit two weeks of nutritious eating? You’ll be surprised by how much better you feel after taking this very easy and doable step. To discuss how I might assist you in doing this, please get in touch with me.
